Is MG a good car?

MG are a decent car manufacturer. They were originally founder in Britain, in the 1920’s. Now owned by a Chinese Auto maker - SAIC Motor Corporation Limited – MG are manufacturing a wider model range which boasts Electric cars, Plug -in hybrid EV’s and the odd combustion engine. All of them starting at a decent price. If you are looking at something to get you from A to B, usually at a low rate with some tech, MG might be for you!

Is a MG a good first car?

MG do have a good option for a first-time driver in the MG3. Great little hatchback, with the base spec coming with Apple CarPlay, Rear Parking Sensors and a Touchscreen Display, its just what you want as a first-time driver, value for money!

Is a MG good family car?

Generally, going by the models MG offer, their range is geared towards family cars. With many of the vehicles being on the slightly larger side, they are perfect for family travel. The larger vehicles even have the option of going Electric, in some cases, or Plug-In Hybrid!

Is the MG a good car for dogs?

If you go for an MG, you should have more than enough space for a Dog. Anything larger than the MG3 and the MG4 EV should be capable of ferrying around your fury friends!

Is Honda good for towing?

The MG HS can tow up to 1500kg which is average for a budget SUV in today’s market.

This should be satisfactory for most leisure activities!

Is there a hybrid MG?

MG do offer the MG HS as a Plug–in hybrid electric vehicle - PHEV. MG Claim this to do 155.8 MPG (WLTP Combined). That’s massive value when it comes to fuelling a vehicle!

Is there an electric MG?

There is good choice of options from MG in their Electric Range. It starts with the most recent edition, the MG4 EV. Good-looking sporty hatchback with loads of tech, plenty of power and available with rapid charge. Next up is the MG5 EV. Again, it’s quite a good-looking estate vehicle! My only gripe with this one is the 16inch alloys on the standard SE spec. Again, good tech and a range of 210 miles. Lastly, we have the MG ZS EV which is arguably the most popular MG. Small SUV type vehicle and apart from the MG4 EV, this has got to be the next best looking. Loads of different spec levels to choose from, but even the base spec is very good for the starting price.

What’s it like to drive?

Reviewers’ opinion

I have got a MG ZS EV from Central and I’m so happy with it. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t my first choice, however, it was in stock and after having a look at one, it was an easy way for me to keep my family mobile and save some decent money. I’m pleasantly surprised at the level of spec and functionality which you get on the ZS. Honestly, looking back, I’m glad I went with one of these because its so much better than I’ve been led to believe by friends and family. Thank you Central! I’ll be back for another in a couple of years!

What does it look like?

The MG EV4 is fantastic looking car. Sleek and aggressive points and creases in the body, gives the car such a sporty look. MG have set the bar high for the future EV hatchbacks as this might be a tough one to top. The Trophy version is even better looking than the standard. It comes with a lightbar at the back, Black roof, daytime running lights and a classy futuristic spoiler.

What’s it like inside?

The Interior on the MG4 EV matches the high-quality design of the exterior. Minimal and classy in cockpit which suits the futuristic aesthetic. Added touches like floating displays on the dash and behind the steering wheel and even a floating shelf with wireless charging pad in the middle make this vehicle hard to be ignored as one of the better value-for-money EV’s. Great looking car- inside and out- not to be overlooked!
